Summary:This research attempts to understand Pakistani students’ reasons and expectations prior to their migration process and further mobility opportunities. Their primary experiences as student migrants were very positive after they started the process of integration and opened up towards the culture. The concept of imagined mobility and cultural capital contributed to the understanding that upward mobility is a major motivating factor.
